This seminar will discuss changes in the brain of a person living with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia. You will learn what is retained during the disease process as well as what is lost. Gain a better understanding how the person living with dementia experiences and perceives the world around them.
This seminar is dynamic and interactive. Be ready to be highly engaged as you learn new information.
About the presenter: Brenda Roberts has over 35 years of experience working in the field of aging. She has a Certificate in Advanced Clinical Practices in Dementia from U of M, MA in Education & Community Leadership from CMU and a BA in Sociology from Alma College. Most recently Brenda has had the opportunity to work with international dementia educator, Teepa Snow. Under Teepa’s tutelage Brenda has earned her certifications as a Dementia Trainer, Consultant and Coach. Additionally, Brenda is a care partner for her husband who is living with young-onset dementia.
